Camped down in the hungry horse many times.Beautiful country. Great northern is always dramatic anytime of the year. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories. Use to live in kalipell and whitefish. Northwest montana is certainly GOD's country.

BTW, I "retired" 10 years ago, but have been teaching part time at a local university (I actually started several months before I retired) and am still enjoying it. I'm going do fully retire some day, and one of the reasons is so we can travel when the schools are in session.

Thanks DJ....I just love where I live! It is a beautiful area...but if your not an outdoors type of person...it's just plain cold...lol Retirement still just feels like I am on vacation...don't think it's really hit us yet!

That is a beautiful area Cindy. We stayed in Whitefish a couple of nights in July 2011 on a road trip that included Banff and Glacier NP. We like to be outdoors (we're heading to Charleston, Savannah and NYC next week and will do a lot of walking), but prefer warmer weather (we love Hawaii). We're anxious to go back to your area and stay a little longer. Enjoy your long vacation!
