Late winter is one of my favorite times of the year, when warmth can be felt in the sun’s rays again and melting is underway. Saturday, 3/9/19, was one of those days in Maine with temperatures in the mid-thirties, lots of sun and not much wind. I decided to take some photos on the Schoodic Loop Road of Acadia National Park, so I headed there in the late morning. I was well rewarded upon arriving, since the weather was spectacular and almost no one else was in the area. -Paul

I confess not to have any envy or jealousy in my heart ...but your damn picture gets me REAL close. Absolutely captures the moment so well I can hear the water lapping on the rocks.

I'm disappointed.
Why? I expected to see a set of pictures but you only teased me with one - which is a beauty! Thank you, Paul. I'm sure you must have more we'd like to see.
Thank you, Properframe! I appreciate the compliment a lot!
Thank you, Annie-Get-Your-Gun! You persuaded me to post the others. While not as visually appealing as the one I posted earlier today, they are still not bad. -Paul

Paul, is that Cadillac Mountain in the background by any chance ? Nice shot !!
Very nicely done, Paul. Schoodic is my favorite place to visit on the Maine coast and you did it justice.

If Annie has convinced you, Paul, then my thanks to her. I have seen the Schoodic Peninsula in summer (along with EVERYBODY ELSE) and I have longed to go back in winter. This is a great shot. My hope is to visit some winter day when a Nor'easter is kicking-up the surf.
Thanks, Steve! It's been a while since I visited Roques Bluff. I plan to get there again in the next month or two. -Paul
Thanks, FiddleMaker! I believe that is Champlain Mountain, although I may be wrong.
