To me..... a bit scary! Your tour guide probably gets a good "tip" for those who really want the "good stuff". Guess you were smart Tim to just laugh it off! Once in Jamaica I decided to walk back into town by myself following one of our tours while my wife went back to our ship. I was going to capture a few photos of the picturesque shanty homes our bus passed earlier. Dumb idea! Women were yelling..."Hey....don't I know you?" I quickened my steps with head looking straight ahead. A couple of guys tried to sell me something.....noticed the police in cars parked along the road....I was too frightened to turn around so once I made it to the actual town area I asked an older couple if I could walk back with them to the ship & explained why. They said "sure" and we became 3!! A couple of the women still yelled but I felt protected by my grandparent type couple beside me!

That had to be very unnerving, Bob. As much as we like to think we can
take care of ourselves, and "handle" ourselves, Jamaica can be VERY
intimidating. Even when staying in our group, we were constantly being
approached by street vendors that didn't want to take "No" for an answer.
I can imagine they'd be even more aggressive if you weren't in a group.
Coming in late on this one but I didn't have a single thing in my archives that would fit this challenge until today when we were in Pittsburgh's Strip District.
