Well, a few days ago I made a post asking for opinions regarding two different manufactured, large 404 CF tripods. I ordered both tripods knowing that one would be returned after a hands-on review. Both tripods are very well built and there is no question that either will hold just about any camera or video recording device I could imagine. Both are extremely sturdy, heavy and very well constructed. With that being said, you can quickly tell that the Nest tripod has better creature features. The pole twist locks are larger and more comfortable with a rubberized like feel to them; very comfortable in your hands. At the end of each leg, there is a retractable spike for better stability when the rubber bottoms are not practical. The Nest tripod is three inches taller than the Leofoto and comes with a twenty-one inch center section. The carrying case has snap locks to hold the tripod in place during transit. As I said earlier, both are very well made tripods which I had expected when I ordered them so I had a good idea that the differences would be minimal and it certainly wouldn't have anything to do with stability. So, the Leofoto will be returned Monday morning.
