Printer just stopped working

My Canon MX452 just stopped printing,I'm getting message "printer is in error state".Anyone have this happen to them?Any ideas on how to fix?

If it's wireless, try unplugging and waiting at least a minute before plugging in and starting. Also, check ink cartridges and for paper caught internally.

Thanks for your response,I just replaced black ink cartridge.I'll try unplugging and see what happens.

If you can't get it running, don't buy any ink for it. It's no longer available, and it wasn't that great a printer to begin with. Looks like it's time to start looking for a new machine. After all, you got your $$$ worth out of your 6 yr old, $100 printer.
