A fellow Hogger created a nice watermark for me. My wife and I are in Phoenix for a few weeks, and, of course, I'm finding opportunities to shoot, so I've been experimenting with the watermark. I've plugged it into several photos recently added to my https://randalldonahoo.smugmug.com/, but thought I'd show it off in a couple of recent photos here as well.

The Grand Canyon shot is from a previous trip here, but I can't exclude one from that scene when showing AZ photos. The second two are from the Gold Canyon/Superstition Mtns area, and the last is from Thunderbird Park in north Phoenix (maybe Glendale).

Any thoughts you care to share are welcome!

I note you have two on each of the first two images, was there a reason for that? The watermark on Image #4 is nicely unobtrusive.

I'd love to find a watermark that I actually liked. I'd be willing to pay for it too . If anyone has any ideas please feel free to message me.

When you have to search for the watermark it's a good one. Very nice

Thanks! I like it! Unobtrusive while effectively discouraging cropping and copying maybe a bit of an art in itself, and I'm still experimenting. Not that I really fear someone copying the images from my https://randalldonahoo.smugmug.com/ with so many more accomplished photographers' stuff from which to choose, but I enjoy pretending.

Reason? Nothing other than I'm new at it and experimenting. One thought is an eye toward what kind of image could be cropped out of what does not contain a watermark. I'm thinking maybe I don't want to leave a lot available? Maybe. I've seen images with watermarks duplicated throughout, which sure takes care of that concern, but is a major turn-off for me, so I won't do that.

If I were printing for display -and we do have them all over our house, but only a handful beyond that- and felt I wanted to retain ANY watermark in the photo, it would definitely be unobtrusive...to the point of almost hard to find, I think. But I really don't have any firm idea of where I want to go with this; I just like having it as an option, I suppose.

My favorite is the watermark on the top of #2, the size, tansperancy, color are perfect. Great set of photos.
