I’ve several photos I’d like printed, suitable for framing. Any suggestions of services I can look into?

Mpix is great?
For printing I like using Costco, which is only about 6 miles from me.

Try
www.shutterfly.com. Have used them for years with excellent results. They have guaranteed satisfaction.

I have had Nations Photo Lab make enlargements and mount them on half-inch "Gatorboard", which is lightweight and very stiff - it doesn't warp. I then glue some 1x2" strips to the back to which I attach some wire to hang them. This makes them stand out from the wall in a very dramatic fashion - no frame or glass needed.

After several attempts at getting black and white prints at Costco I gave up and went to Fedex Office. My prints were of a special size, 8 x 19 and 21 x 27. Costco just could not get it right. Fedex offers a wide selection of paper and the results were very high quality.

me too, but the Costco is 20 miles away.
Costco will autocorrect a photo for free. Autocorrect is important because our monitors are generally very bright and do not reflect the actual photo we print. I know this from experience as I did not autocorrect my first batch of photos from Costco and they were too dark. I had them reprinted and chose autocorrect and they turned out like they did on my monitor.

A monitor calibrator will fix that problem.
I have used Mpix and am satisfied with the results. Very reasonable too.
I use Bay Photo. Always good results.
