Hi All I realized I had this shoot of a pow wow I had never worked on and had totally forgot about. I find there is much to work with here. The regalia and people were wonderful. So here is another. Please enjoy. RBorud

Back in 1996, I got to shoot quite a bit at the Ring of Fire Pow-wow done in conjunction with the Olympics in Atlanta, GA. And I strived to attend a pow-wow every other year since. Sadly the function is getting rarer and rarer for whatever reason.

Thanks for your presentation and treatment. I like the emphasis provided the dancer. And the sense of activity surrounding him. Brought back the memories.

I like this one even more than the last one rborud. The dancer stands out better and, like the other shot, is full of movement. Colours and effects are ideal for the image.

I like the treatment, with one exception - the tonal values of the background people compete with the subject dancer. Subduing the background a bit would provide better separation and better focus the viewer on the dancer. My two cents.

It's interesting to compare this to your "Male Dancers" of March 5. This newest one is difficult to view because I am very sensitive to motion sickness. There's too much visual stimulation from all the moving elements.

Though the other image is busy, there is a pattern and stability to the grass (and less color), which is much more enjoyable for me.
