These were taken several hours apart, and I'm not sure which lighting I like best.
The last two are the "bigger picture"!

I like the first of each scene.
The second for both.
There's more depth because of the light.
Can you brighten the snow a bit in image number two?
I like the first of the first and the last of the last...make sense?
I prefer the first one with the sunlit snow. Beautiful winterscape!
I like the shadows in #2. I like the 1st of the last two.
I like the first of both sets. I like the brighter snow and on the first of the second I like to see the top of the mountain. Interesting at the very top looks like a face.
All good work but if I had to choose, I would pick the first of each set.
These are beautiful winter photos the like of which could be the December or January selection in a professional grade yearly calendar. Agree with first in each set - at least on my monitor that's the way I see it. Well done.
I would choose the first and the last. OK, why?
In the first and last, the light carries your eves to the snowy creek, in the middle two, you are taken into the trees. For my mind, the snowy creek is the subject of the pictures.
It is all about the light.

I think the first of the two presented.
More sun on the stream, for me.
My vote goes for the first and the last.
