A composite consisting of three elements. The lady and a 1941 Chevrolet taken at Lunken Airport 2018 in Cincinnati for 1940's day. The event featured a variety of cars, planes and folks dressed for an all-day affair of dancing, fashion, and interactive fun for all ages.
The open road/highway taken in 2015. Part of old Route 66 near Adrian, Texas, the MidPoint of Old Route 66, halfway point between Chicago & Los Angeles.
The Route 66 signage on the roadway came from an image I took in Winslow, Arizona.
My intent of the finished composite was to create an old 1940's time era theme, hence the slight sepia.

Very nicely done, Dave! Looks great.

Excellent work on this one, Dave--as usual.
If you hadn't given all of the details, I wouldn't have known it was a composite. Nicely done Dave.
It affected me the way you wanted. Superb technique in service of fine idea. Strange place to stop, though!😊
Great PP. Well done, Dave!
You’ve brought the elements together very well indeed Dave. Very hard to detect a composite here. The sepia suits the subject well. An excellent piece of work.

Good one Dave, I really like it. With a bit of judicious burning/holding back you would have a stunner (rear fender and nearby background, scrub on right foreground burnt in; car slightly lightened to add detail, particularly white-walled tyres)
A question concerning the view of the hood via PM:
"Am I seeing a bit of the hood of the car missing replaced by mountains?"
The angle the shot was taken from obscures most of, if not all of the hood.
I have been debating on posting the original images used with this composite. Since I had a request via PM here they are.

Thank you very much John.

Not usually a fan of composites, especially the ones whose elements obviously don't mesh very well. THIS one I really like. The combination is done with subtlety and grace, and creates a lovely feeling. Great work!
