Dug these out of the archives. Too cold to go out shooting today. There are twelve in the Lehigh Valley and twelve in Bucks County. You can pick up self guides to make the trips. That way you can go at your own pace and take as many photos as you like.

They built covered bridges to keep the rain and snow of the decking. The bridge lasted much longer.

We had a covered bridge destroyed by a too tall truck in Long Grove IL about a year and a half ago. Now it looks like it will not be rebuilt in nice historic town that was known for the bridge. Enjoy them while you can.

Nice shots. Never knew there were some many covered bridges in Lehigh and Bucks. Good collection. Grew up in Luzerne County. Lots of culm banks in those days.

One of the best things about living in northern Delaware is the ability to drive to so many different covered bridges in PA in a short amount of time. Nice images, Hal.

There are several out in Lancaster County and worth a day trip (for you) to see them. See the site at https://www.discoverlancaster.com/activities/pa-covered-bridges.asp for a list.
When I lived up there I wasn't into photography and now my visits don't include time to roam where there are such great places to capture. Maybe one of these days... Loved your captures.
