Can't help liking the the wonderful and colorful buildings as you travel around Ireland. Very upbeat and cheerful!
An enjoyable set - it seems that countries with a large amount of dreary, grey days compensate with colorful buildings!
Good set. Thanks for taking us there.

Very colorful. Do they get together before they paint to be sure they don’t clash?

Thanks for looking in NMGal, much appreciated. Don’t know if they coordinate but I don’t recall two in a row the same color.

Great set marsdad. Where was the first one taken? I'm guessing the 5th one is in Cobh, Co. Cork.

I nailed it! Google Street views below.
Cobh (pronounced Cove) was the departure point for the Titanic on its maiden voyage. It continued as a the terminus for Transatlantic sailings up into at least the late 50's. I landed there as a child back in '56. All I really remember was having to climb down a long gantryway in the middle of the night onto a small open rocky boat for transfer to the harbor. I was there again about 35 years ago. The town had a drab 'faded gentry' look to it. Delighted to see that it has livened itself up a bit. There is a row of cottages just up the road from your shot that climbs up the hill like steps of stairs that I always thought had the makings of a great picture. Must go back. I recall the church (or Cathedral?) has a magnificent interior of cut stone.
Lisdoonvarna is a famous spa and matchmaking town. Back in the day, (maybe still) old farmers and ladies of a certain age would swarm to Lisdoonvarna to ‘take the waters’ in September after the harvest and in the hope of finding a suitable (or any) mate. Many long lived and happy marriages were born there.
Thanks for posting.
#3 and #5 were taken in Cobh but I do not remember where #1 was taken, it was a while back. Been to Ireland twice and sometimes can get places mixed up. I'm very glad my photos brought back some good memories and that you enjoyed them. Thanks for looking and commenting, much appreciated
