I do a lot of post-processing of my images. "Picture Project" was one of my very favorites but it has been discontinued. Can anyone recommend good software that is similar?

You don't have to spend a lot of money to process pictures.

I use Photoshop Elements. It’s great. Costs about $80 or so.

Ashampoo gives away prior versions of their software free. Have not tried them, but have seen some good reviews.

Millions like the $10/month Adobe plan with 2 Lightrooms and Photoshop.

I must be #1,000,000's+1. I tried Lightroom's 30 day trial around 2007 and didn't like it, so I'm still using PSE 14 (started PP with PSE 10) and don't have another bill coming in every month. I paid #39.99 for it once and so far have avoided six years of ten dollar lease payments. six years x12=72 months @$10/mo =$720,00 in my pocket, not Adobe's, with no problems.

I agree. Photoshop Elements, and its companion Premiere Elements, with included Organizer are incredibly capable, useful and affordable.

A lot of freebies in those links. And others not so expensive too.

Whichever software you choose, please ensure that you plan ahead for software updates in the future, and have allotted at least 4-6 times the recommended memory space for all future software updates.

Those updates will obsolete your computer faster than you planned on.

This happened to me about 18 months ago, and I had to replace my laptop, because my photo editing software couldn't run any longer.

Free, not overly complicated, but VERY full-featured (and totally ignored on UHH for some unknown reason)....read and see for yourself:

For $10.00 US you can subscribe to Adobe Cloud for photographers which will open the door to the Adobe World and give you everything to post process your photos and video. It also opens the door to the Adobe Photoshop Cafe, and tons of Adobe's Free Training.

For the price of a sandwich and drink each month you receive it all, complete with updates. It has to be one of the best values in the photography world.
