I got one a few years ago. I don't use it enough to be really comfortable with it.
One reason I don't use it much is the same reason I gave up using a mouse. It takes up desk space, which is piled with other stuff. I use a trackball, which I don't have to move around.
I got a Logitech trackball that has a button on it that slows down the cursor. It's right by the ball, so I can just push it and do finer work with the slower cursor. Push it again and it's back to normal. It's also wireless but you have to use the USB occasionally to recharge the battery.
