Don't usually shoot sky, cuz sky is
usually boring or beautiful. Boring
is kinda boring, and I'm usually not
into embalming the beautiful. Just
prefer the real time experience and
accepting its ephemeral nature.

But SOMETIMES ....

Thank you Dane. It is the best time to go in the summer...........right before sunset, or after a storm. That place is brutal in the blazing hot desert sun!! Snow blindness has nothing on White Sands in the summer!

Thank you GiGi! It was worth hiking down there in the dark. No crowds, almost no mist, and look what I was blessed with. (I left my family in the hotel, got my gear, and it was an amazing sunrise!)

Fun challenge! Thank you for hosting. I am not much of a night photographer, but I do love sky gazing! I am regularly amazed at the shapes, colors, and moods our atmosphere presents us with. Here are my contributions.

Pg 2. Great set Haymaker. I saw a shelf cloud once while at the beach, pretty amazing sight.
