Just about everybody has, they are not that expensive and it will save your screen.

When I got my Sony a6300 I had the camera store install. They have the tools and cleaning juices to do the job right. One errant fragment of a fingerprint spoils the whole thing. My alternative avatar is “sloppy fingers.”

actually, I had a left over screen protector for a smart phone laying around. with a few cuts i was able to retro fit what was left over for my cameras screen. Might be a cheaper alternative.

My D1x and maybe my D2Xs came with snap on protectors. Not so with newer cameras. I figure since they were designed to be touched, they were designed tough. My Jeep has an 8" touch screen, and I touch that also.

On the other hand I use N/C filters on my lenses.

I also do not put rubber car mats on top of carpeted car mats that are already there to protect the carpet.

I know, I like to live dangerously.

I've put the Kenko LCD screen protector film on my Nikon D500 and D750. They're excellent.

I have some advice. You have to get in aligned correctly the first time. If you try to peel it back off to reposition it will get messed up.

No, I do not use them, the Nikon screen can handle it, that's why Nikon uses it.
But if you want the protection, here you go.

I put them on every camera including my D7100. Don't forget to put one on your top display window as well. Worth the cost.

There used to be an excellent one made for just about anything. Let me think... "Zag" or "Zagshield."

I put those thin plastic shields on all my LCDs. Amazon had a sale on those things for the MacBook Pro - $5.00 each. Amazing!

I see they're back in force on Amazon.
