I'm not familiar with Capture 1 Pro. Does Capture 1 Pro do anything that I cannot do with Luminar and Aurora. Do it better?

Yes, and Yes. Hard to compare a full-service professional workflow application with those that aren't.

If I were going to buy that program I would get the whole hog that supports all cameras. It is supposed to be the Cadillac of editing programs - I have not tried it, although seen it used in Webinars, and it looked awesome!

Capture One Pro 12 is probably the finest raw converter and post processing software available. While its expensive, and it may have fewer features than some of it's competition, the quality of it's rendering is second to none. Luminar is nice post processing software, but it on a different level than Capture One. Most people probably won't appreciate or care about the superiority of images processed in Capture One Pro. But those who understand the advantages of top of the line software will see the difference.

In my opinion CaptureOne is the best tethering program for the money and as Gene has mentioned, a great professional suite.
