Incoming Storm - (Infrared)

Clouds were coming in yesterday afternoon (clouds block a lot of infrared) while some sunlight (which provides a lot of reflected infrared!) was still coming through on our street -- had to see what I could make of that mix using the infrared camera -- headed toward an old favorite, the lamp post at the end of the street.

As it turned out, nothing came of it yesterday but forecast is for 1" or 2" of snow on the valley floor tonight.

Thanks, Linda. I'm still enjoying getting out the IR camera -- an opportunity for creativity and a different look at things. Once again I'll recommend to others to have a camera converted to IR rather than using an IR filter on a regular camera, it is much more convenient and less time to set up tripod, etc. In my case I found a used one to convert that uses the same lenses and battery as my main camera, but I did end up getting another lens to just mostly leave on it to use anyway!

(The above comments are in case the reader might not have seen a previous IR post of mine that had a similar recommendation)

I admit I'm attracted to the idea, same as every time someone mentions black and white film (my first love) and doing their own printing. Thanks for the info!
