At the very time that President Trump is meeting with Kim Jung Un in Hanoi, attempting to hold out the prospect of peace and prosperity for his country in return for de-nuclearization, the Democratic House is holding hearings with a smarmey lawyer who is going to call him a con man and a liar.

What wonderful timing. How is Kim to believe Trump's picture for the future of his country if he's being labeled as a con man and liar at the very time the talks are taking place?

Of course, a deal with both Kim and China would just about give the Democrats apoplexy. Those googly eyes of ACO just might actually cross!! And Cohen? Who the frick would give a frick about Cohen if Trump came through with that double play?

Steve, if you look at all the distractions through which Pres. Trump has worked, he's accomplishing his agenda. He's kept checking off his goals and accomplishing what he said he would. This, in spite of the opposition he's faced in both government and the press.

I hope he does accomplish some great agreement with NK's Kim. Some Demos could use an apoplectic moment or two.

I agree! I watched part of that this morning. How can you believe anything that slime ball says.
It just seems like the majority (not all) of politicians at all levels have their hand in the cookie jar.
It's mind boggling to watch the news and see the criminal charges, that no matter how much evidence the DA has, they get a not guilty verdict. What happened to draining the swamp? If they did that it wouldn't be a swamp any more it would just be a small puddle.

I think Kim's ability to reach Japan and even the United States made him relevant. Kim stands at a crossroads and must choose between prosperity for his country and people or the continuation of his insular dictatorship. His legacy will be greater if he chooses the former. In the end, his dicatorship would not be so insular. Perhaps that is the fear.

Kim is a ruthless dictator. Nuclear weapons, ICBMs, and now repeated meetings with Trump are cementing his position on a global scale. Good con on his part.
