Oh, I see!!!! … You mean - the BUMPS are silver!!!! … Gotya!!!! … Yes, I think you're right, Ed, didn't think of that! Was wondering - if the whole slide was silver, it COULD pick up reflections in the dark, and perhaps, fog the film … so, that wouldn't be a very good idea.

the slide iis black, the end that you grab is black and silver on the other side with the bumps on the silver side.

REFLECTIONS in a darkroom??? you got fogged film and dont even know it GBG
I never got my dorkroom good for film, hadda use a changing bag..

Ed … don't recall any silver, apart from the rib design on the end. Are yours striped? What DO you mean?

Yes, Ed - there are things in my darkroom which tend to reflect, even if there's no light. Mine is pretty well sealed … I have black-cloth covered plywood panels on the windows - which are Velcro tabbed on. They are completely light-tight. The door has a thick layer of felt all the way around it. When you are in there, with all lights off - it is pretty dark. I used to use the closet for loading and pulling film, just to be safe, but I don't do it, anymore. I take my film out of the holders, near the sheet film tank. When I'm loading 120 or 220 or 35mm film on reels, in the dark - I do it near the pegboard where I hang all my reels. Roll-film tanks are also nearby. I keep everything I need, handy, in the area where I do it all.
