Haven't posted in a while, but this week's assignment was table top/still life, and I liked the way this came out. This is a single image using studio strobes with minimal post processing. No stacking or other tricks.
memories of a forgotten era, or is it?
Have many baby boomers turned to photography as a hobby????
A lovely piece of work.
Great shot Bill. Thank you for sharing.

I love your photograph for a number of reasons. I was born in Olean, NY, where that knife was made, my mom worked at Kabar back in the late 40's early 50's so possibly helped make many of the Kabar knives issued to Marines in WW2, one of my father's best friends was a Marine who fought on Iwo Jima, finally, my twin brother and I joined the Marine Corps in 1964 and both spent time in Vietnam, him one tour and me two tours, as door gunners in Marine helicopter squadrons, HMM-265 for me and HMM-262 for him.
Welcome home my brother.
