Dave, I agree with you 100%. I lived in South Florida (Broward County) for over 30 years. The Everglades NP and all of the surounding area has some of the best locations in the USA for birds in general. I used to go out on Alligator Alley as it was being built which also provides excellent areas to capture all types of wildlife.

Well my first instinct was to say "dead one?" but in all honesty I am not sure what kind of fish it is. Sorry. The Anhinga would probably say a tasty one.

I think at the moment when you took the photo the fish was very much alive hi hi. I just have never noticed a fish with the segmentations in its body such as that fish seemed to have.
