Water Polo Practice / scrimmage Shoot

I got a chance to watch my wife's second cousin's water polo practice and scrimmage. First time shooting this kind of an event. Most of the time the players had their backs to me, and if I moved, I would be shooting into the sun, and I wanted the sun behind me for less glare. I did put on the CPL at first because of a little glare and just left it on.

I shot about 600 photos in 4 hours. Some were not in focus, and a lot were in burst mode, so after culling, I got about 80 good ones.

I think I got some good shots. Lots of frozen water and facial expressions. I had my Nikon D7200 and 18-140 lens. Next time I'll use my 200mm to get a little closer and less cropping. I'm amazed at how these guys can come up so high out of the water. They never touch bottom!

Played that game many many years ago. It is amazing how high you can get out of the water. Nice sots. I agree, going to 200mm will help a lot.
