I saw this on Facebook a couple years ago - seems the cemetery officials were trying to have it taken down - hope they didn't succeed - it is such a moving memorial to a beloved child.

Thank you for stopping to look and comment. Losing two sons myself, I really respect a father who would go to this extent to keep their memory alive.

This memorial would be welcome in our historic Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, but I hope it has been able to stay in place. The sculptor really did express the father's emotion and belief. and about those darned onions...
