New ON1 2019 software

Wondering if anyone uses or has a view on this new software, ON1 2019. I purchased the 2017 version but don't use it much if at all. I currently mostly use Lightroom and just a bit Photoshop. In terms of skill level, I would rate my ability in LR as an 8 of 10, and in PS, a 2 of 10. The interesting thing is that the new version of ON1 includes layers in the equivalent of their development and library modules. Seems it might be more simple than Photoshop. Thoughts?

From an ex-On1 user (2016,2017,2018) take the time and learn PS, you already have the best.

I use the free ON1 and agree with dannac keep on with Photoshop. I use cc and it is worth staying and playing with Photoshop to learn what it can do...

I have it and use it as a plug-in for LR only because of the LR cataloging method. I am learning its ins and outs and think it may be my go-to program when I get it all figured out.

I use On1 Photo Raw as a LR plug in. For myself, I find it more intuitive than PS and not as many steps to remember. However, I am a neophyte with PS and can see the benefit to knowing both. ON1 does have great support, their Plus program has a lot to offer also. If you aren't using the 2017 version and didn't spend much time with it, It will likely be the same situation with 2019. On1 or PS - like any programs, they take time to learn. And time is often what keeps a person from maximizing them. Concentrate on 1 program and suddenly, eventually, the light bulb goes on and things make sense.
