I wasn't prepared for this challenge, so these photos are mostly quick shots I took to mail to somebody, or to make a point. A few notes:

The running shoes in the photo have mostly been donated. But I have replaced them with even more (I work part-time in a running store, so this isn't as weird as it may seem).

There are 23 guitars in my collection. I don't have the space to hang/display them all, so this photo is a smartphone panorama of my "studio." The cases in the closet are not empty.

My father gave me my first pocket knife when I was in high school. It was given to him by then-vice president Hubert H. Humphrey. One day, a few years later, I reached into my pocket and discovered it was gone. I never found it. But I've been carrying one or the other every day (except now when I fly -- knives are a no-no to airline security).
I am an inveterate collector. I believe everybody... (show quote)

p1. WHat interesting collections! Thanks for sharing, Fred.

Since we are in the middle of winter, this challenge can be done inside if you wish. The challenge is about collections of anything. Whether it be of nic-nak’s, stamps, salt & pepper shakers, hats, baseballs, camera’s and even automobiles. Even if only one item collectible for sentimental reason only. Its value only needs to be within our hearts or soul. This past month have seen a lot posted in Photogirl17’s, Patography’s, Judy Juul’s, Haymaker’s, Katspangle’s, danersmiff’s challenges that would fall into this one.

Right now I will go with LEGO's that we have acquired.

This is about the closest I come to a collection - small stones from various parts of Scotland. The brown pebble was given to me by a tiny little girl at the Pennan Inn several years ago.

My suitcases are always so heavy, my husband is convinced they are full of rocks.

Just one for now. I have a "collection" of old kitchen utensils. Most were from my mother and grandmothers and my mother in law. Some were left behind (purposely) when we bought our house. These rolling pins belonged to my mother and grandmother.

This was taken with my Nikon D3400 & kit lens 18-55mm. I still need more work on sharpness and above all setting up my shot prior to. This was done in haste a couple of weeks ago. It's a 1948 Wards Airline (Montgomery Wards brand).

Fed Ex delivered my new lens from B-H a couple of weeks ago on a cold, rainy day and I was anxious to try it out. So I set up some still-life photos of my wife's old David Winter House collection. I'll contribute them to the challenge.

There is a tradition at the finish of a barn raising, before the siding is placed, that the volunteers who helped build the timber frame, sign the framing timbers. Never to been seen again. These are just a few of the signatures of those who built our barn

Nice start Bob! Thanks for hosting. Other than collecting dust, I now collect mannequins that my mother left. When going through her storage, I discovered she had another mannequin that I've now added to the collection. And I think there is at least one other that I'm hoping to find in storage.
