Chillon Castle (French: Château de Chillon) is an island castle located on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), south of Veytaux in the canton of Vaud. It is situated at the eastern end of the lake, on the narrow shore between Montreux and Villeneuve, which gives access to the Alpine valley of the Rhône. Chillon is amongst the most visited castles in Switzerland and Europe. Chillon is the setting of Lord Byron's poem The Prisoner Of Chillon (1816) about François de Bonivard. Byron also carved his name on a pillar of the dungeon. It is also the subject of an 1875 painting by Gustav Courbet. I hope you enjoy these images taken inside and outside the castle.

Thanks Jederick. Do you also have a dungeon?
Beautiful! I especially like the docks and the leading lines into the water.

I do not have to travel, just view your posts, Mark!
Beautiful work. Interior shots capture the light perfectly.
