Here three shots of an Mount Arfak Stag-Beetle.
The first shot it taken with a Nikon D7200, 85mm Nikon lens with Raynox MSN 202. About 2 X may a bit less.
Next shot is PENF, m.Zuiko 60mm, 1X
The third shot Pen F, m.Zuiko 60mm, Raynox DCR 250, about 2-3x.
A Wemacro rail was used to take the stacks. Both cameras perform very well and each has its advantages. Nikon allows use of Helicon Focus to use the lens focus motor for focusing. This was not used here, however. Olympus limits the flash sync speed to 1/20 or more in silent mode. Anti shock mode was used here. In camera focus bracketing and focus stacking use silent mode. No problem here as in camera focus bracketing is not used. It appears lens focusing is only satisfactory at magnifications <= 1x for either camera.
Well done! They hold up nicely on DL and further enlargement.
first one takes it for me..............good shot
Really nice when downloaded.

Beautiful animal you did it justice.
Common names are problematic. Stag beetles are Lucanids. Is this possibly a Scarab?. I believe so. Someone else RSVP on this.
