Hi All,
I'm feeling better all the time from my back surgery, and today was picture day at the Obedience School where my rescue Penny and I take classes. I haven't taken photos in around 4 months when my back started giving me grief, so today was practice day. I bought some strobe lights a while back and am still trying to figure them out, as well as my camera. I'm having some issue with the bottom of the photo showing up darker, but I've heard some people say they have this issue with the 5diii. I had it figured out last year, but I'm really out of practice, so will have to experiment some more. I LOVE taking photos of this little girl and her owner is always more than happy to let me use her dog to experiment with before I get the students back in my "little room" to take their pets photos. This is Mia who is the sweetest girlie and a very willing model.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend

What a beautiful little girl. I love the expression on her face. It is easy to see that she is looking for Your approval. The eyes ask, "am I doing it right"?

Debbie, thank you for your reply back to me about Mia. I don't know why, but My curiosity sent me to Your bios after reading Your reply and I saw the link to Your web site so I opened it. I looked at the Portfolio section and the part that tells a little about You. I read the paragraph towards the bottom where You said, "A gentile touch to soft fur, watching a young puppy or an adult dog look up at their owner with nothing but pure love as their owner looks back into their pets eyes, it's that type of connection that I strive to capture and share with you". When I read that I thought, well if that is what You are striving for, You sure are doing it right. That was the first thing that I noticed about the pictures You captured of Mia; the look in Her eyes. Five "stars" to You, keep up the great work. Look forward to more of Your photos.

Oh Walter, what a compliment, this just made my heart soar! I have self doubt at times about what I'm doing when it comes to my photography, but I know more than anything, if I can capture that connection every now and then, then I'm continuing to improve on what my goal is. You truly made my day ♥

That makes me feel good that I made you happy. My Daughter loves to take pictures of Her babies, just for herself and friends. She has 3 rottweilers and a boxer. The boxer is crazy, and the rotties are big babies, they think they are lap dogs. One of the rotties, Laney, is a rescue from Cincinnati, one , Adria, Her and her husband flew all the way to Seattle to purchase, and the last one, Waylon, was purchased in Columbus, Ohio. He is named after Waylon Jennings. The boxers name is Daisy. I can tell that You love photography and animals just like My Daughter. I have always read that there is a special place in Heaven for those who love animals. You must have a big heart like My Daughter. You don't need to have self doubt about Your photography. Yours and Mia's message came to me right away. Just keep working on what You are doing and it will only get better. I don't want to hijack your post, but I want to send you some pictures that Cindy took. These are Waylon, and the two on the hay stack are Waylon and Adria.

Mia is a beauty and a perfect little model...like your own Penny! Beautiful portraits, Debbie, and I'm so glad you're feeling better. You've really bounced back quickly after your surgery, and I have a feeling it was due to your spirit an determination.

Aw...they are adorable Walter and Cindy is very blessed to have 4 sweet pups who love her as she loves them. I noticed one has their certificate for a "star puppy" That is fantastic! Tell her to keep up the good job and continue with their training. In my younger years, I had various dogs, but never worked in obedience with any of them until Caiden (my older male Aussie who came into my life and I threatened weekly to send him back to the breeder ) thank goodness we continued to go to class, and I LOVE the classes and recommend them highly to everyone. Caiden is 11 now and we still go to classes periodically as an example of what patience, practice and praise can do to help those just slightly out of control pups I love him dearly as I do the others, but we've worked so hard to get where we are today. I will be totally devastated when his time comes, but for now I enjoy him, even with all of his little quirks. Thank you so much for sharing Cindy's pups and feel free to post them often, as we all love pets on this forum ♥ My go to girl now is Ms. Penny, she thrives on doing obedience and we done some competitions and have even won a few ribbons. Caiden was a bit to wild to trust off Leash, Karma also did competitions, but that just wasn't for her, she loves people, so we did therapy work for around 4 yrs and she was in 7th heaven. Penny came into our lives when someone decided they either didn't get a puppy mill dog that turned out the way they wanted, or, someone just didn't want to deal with a puppy in heat, but either way, she came into our lives for a reason, and she is my sweetheart who brings me great joy when we work together. Well, I've written a book here and need to get to my work, but thank you again ♥

Thank you so much Donna, truly appreciated. I'm doing a thousand times better than I was before, but over did it a bit on Saturday, but you know when you feel better, we all have a tendency to do that
I'm so glad to be back at class and I am very determined to get back to where I was I truly enjoy taking photos of the students and their pets, working with Penny, and entering competitions. Being at Bella's just brings me a peace I need after a long week at work. Mia's owner has another sweet girl named Rheaghan who I hope to get some photos of this coming Sat. so I'll have to post some photos of her as well. She is just as adorable as Mia I need to run and get back to work, but will post more soon. ♥ ♥
