I agree. Surely Bernie agrees with sharing. The people of his state should knock on his door, bag and baggage in hand. Surely he won’t mind Sharing his millions.

I think you have it wrong. Bernie agrees with sharing YOUR things, not his.

It is like AOC giving everyone free college. Who will pay the professors and the facilities? Tax money? Who will pay into the tax pool? Everyone? That means that if you go to free college, you pay nothing. But wait! You have to pay into the tax pool for life.

After three of these comments I feel the need to make my own comment. I had thought everyone would realize that my comment was made sarcastically but apparently it went over everyone's head, Perhaps not everyone, but at least some of the readers.

I understand completely that Socialism is giving away MY things and YOUR things but not necessarily the things of the Special people, the Party people. The joke was that here would be Bernie Sanders giving away his own things. Sorry you missed it.

I didn't miss your thinly veiled sarcasm but I am amazed at the number of people who think that health care, jobs for those who want to work, money for those who don't want to work; free housing, free food and free cell phones are on their way.

I think that I was about six years old when I discovered that nothing was free. My father told me to bring in the newspaper from the road and he would give me a nickel a week. After a few weeks, I discovered that that was less than a penny per day. I told my dad about my discovery and said he was going to have to pay me a dime per week. He responded, "Bring in the paper every day for the next few weeks and he would pay me nothing."

Given that I was saving for a BB gun, I had little chance of saving for that BB gun. That was my first lesson in economics.

You are right. At 73 I was never given anything but a small allowance for which I and my two brothers had to work for. All of us were cutting grass at a young age, trying to sell seeds from catalogue ads and so on. My twin brother and I were buying and selling firearms from the time we were about 12 or 13 years old. Then working in grocery stores until we were 17 and joined the Marine Corps. But it was always work. When we complained to parents that we didn't get much we were told we got food, clothing, a roof over our head, the use of the car when available, when we were older. Of course God help us if we did not put gas in it before coming home. We learned right from wrong and to do for ourselves.

But these days many children refuse to work thinking the government will take care of them. The new far Left Democratic Party only enforces that belief that one needn't work if there are government handouts available. The thought that someone has to pay for those handouts, the free phones, college education and so on means little to them.

I'll bet that your parents and my parents could have changed the way a lot of kids thought about economics.
