Photographing Floral Arrangements

My speedlight is broken. Would a ring flash be a good option for photographing floral arrangements during a tea? I cannot set up lighting so I thought this would be a better bet that the pop up flash - anything would be better than that. Thoughts?

They will have to be arranged of course before the event...any chance you could set up natural daylight shots
with a window on one side, a good reflector on the other?

I could try that. I have a silver reflector or a white - would white be better?

Try a shot with each one and choose the one that looks better..I usually like the silver in this set up..white seems to work well outdoors better..just my tastes..
