Hi All Here is a couple of examples of a use of a couple of arcane plugins coupled together. Do you think it is worth the time to pursue? RBorud

I like the first one. Whether it's worth the time depends upon whether you are pleased with the results.

Both are unique. Creative processing. If you have the time, go for it.

I really like the first one. Flowers in front of a rusted tin barn. Very homey. The second one looks unfinished but an interesting start to something.

#1 - The subject, colors, composition and all those textures really work for me!

#2 - downloaded and zoomed in reveals some very interesting textures, colors and lines. For that reason I'm thinking that a less busy image might be better suited to this look. Got one?

Linda Here is the technique applied to an image I was planning to add to my Prairie Sentinels series. This is an application of something more connected to an ongoing series. Thanks for looking and commenting. RBorud

This has a very pleasing "painterly," look.
Well done!

Photo 1 -

Photo 2 - To me it looks like an over-processed landscape shot. I think this technique would be better suited to a still life shot IMHO

I like the first one; the second one doesn’t do much for me.

Very interesting. I like the vase and the barn. Viewing in download and full magnification gives the appearance of colors and groups of colors being put on in layers with each layer having a highlight edge and a shadow edge. It's a completely different sensation from one with everything blended and no edges emphasized. It's an effect you can't see on the thumbnails. I would love to see one of these printed at full size, framed and hung on the wall.

This works very well on these two photos because they have large areas with less radical color change. I'm feeling challenged to see if I can create the same affect with photoshop.

The tree and lake picture has too much small detail and almost seems as if it wasn't created with the same process.

I think your plugins have interesting possibilities. I enjoyed the first one with the flowers against the barn siding, and I really enjoyed your third one and the effect on the buildings, I thought they were striking, but not so much the sky. The big question is do you like the creative effect? Bev
