I will tell you this, the modern "plastic fantastic" lenses don't look like that inside, and they would look even worse sawn in half!!!!!

May very well be cut segments from two different lenses, but clean cuts they are nevertheless.

It's just a plain, simple cut to show off the innards, they have been doing that for the past 100 years ( in about all countries). Nothing special about this one!
