Whistlers are small ducks (possibly Australia's smallest species). They gather & feed around water ways in large numbers & are easily recognized by their distinctive whistling sound. Downloading is recommended.

All shots were taken at long range/large zoom with a CoolPix P900 & are quite heavily cropped.

The design and colors on these ducks are rather neat.

Earl, excellent set and the quality of the photos is fantastic. DDLs show amazing sharpness and very little pixelation.

These are beautiful ducks and their brown feathers are truly gorgeous despite the harsh sunlight and slightly over-blown exposure of that time of the day.

Tough exposures like this are always a challenge.
