It may have been one or two years ago (don't get old) when I saw here the most beautiful image I think I have ever seen. It was of a white crane's one toe landing on what I believe was ice. I believe it may have been on a photographer's website, but for me it was stunning.
I am looking for this image because of a photography art course I am taking. The instructor Andy Howard asked the class to bring in photos that resonate with each of us so that we can introspectively learn who we are as artists.
If you can help, I would be appreciative.
Thank you
Garrie
I just did a google search for
white crane landing on ice
There are a lot of photographs. Perhaps the one you're looking for is one of them.

Thank you for such a quick reply. I had already done that, but looked again, to no avail.
Thanks for the idea.

Another thought. Try searching on photo specific sites like 500px, flicker and instagram as examples. I did a quick search for 'white cranes' on 500px and got hundreds of hits.

Thanks for the idea. Unless I didn't read it correctly, it says you need to scan a pic or enter a URL. If so this would not work for me.
Looks like a good site nonetheless.

Go to "Bing" Images. Specify "Crane standing on ice", maybe you will get one you want.
Found some gorgeous shots at 500px including one of a male wood duck. We have a wood duck box out back by the lake, but I missed shooting "jump day" as our cat chased and caught the first out of the box. I chased and caught the cat in time luckily, but by then all the little guys had jumped. Didn't get a single pic. This year will be different.
Thanks for sharing that site. Bookmarked!

Wow, that is a lovely image for sure, but not the image of my memory. If I find it I will share with all who responded so all can see just how extraordinary it is.
Thanks for your help.

Rick,
Thanks for those images. They are beautiful, BUT... not the image of my memory. If/when I find it.. I will share with all who have replied.
Thanks for sharing Christy's images,
Garrie
Garrie, Good luck. Now I really want to see it. :-}

Ok. I took a poke around and found one by Robert O’Tool that I bet is the one. “Sandhill crane taking off on ice.” Scroll down about 80-90%. Just dragging a single toe.

If it is the right image, the winning search term was Google Images “crane foot landing on ice”
Rick,
these are beautiful images too. People have been go generous with their help. The image I saw does not appear here. It is hard to believe the image I seek is more beautiful than any others I have seen. If and when I find it I'll share with all that helped.
Thank you for your email.
