This is outstanding. It is too bad we do not see more eye color, but the reason is 100% understandable and not much you can do about it. A very minor nit in any case.
Cliff, your input here is to be cherished since you are indeed a master of portraiture...
And yes if I had shown a narrow focus LED spotlight into her eyes I could have possible stopped do her pupil thus exposing more iris...
That said I tried experimenting with this previously (in days long since past) and the sitter found it to be rather annoying.. An annoyed sitter is not going to emote effective, period... As I'm absolutely certain you understand and appreciate this...
btw, my studio is flat black (no windows) so modeling lights are highly effective for composing...
As noted previously if this was for anyone else besides an agency talent I could have possibly added color to the iris in post... However downsizing a pupil isn't a task I would ever attempt to accomplish...
