Just noticed a very nice vintage Vivitar Series 1 lens for sale on eBay. 90mm f2.5 which has a reputation for very desirable bokeh in portraiture. The ad shows the mount marked P/K which I think indicates Pentax bayonet K mount. Present auction is at $115 plus $12 s/h and ending time as 6 PM ET. I don't have any need for it myself but some others here may be interested. Here's the URL

Does it come with the macro adapter that was originally supplied with it? It’s a fantastic macro lens. One of the best/sharpest ever.

That's the Tokina made "Bokina" Vivitar. It goes to 1/2 life size on it's own and had a dedicated adapter to be able to reach life size. I don't see the adapter in the listing though. Still, this is considered a "cult" lens and is what Tokina used to market it's own brand of macro lenses.

I don't think there is any Vivitar lens that is desirable!

I would agree with you on all of the newer offerings but several of the older Series One lenses (from when Vivitar was a part of Ponder & Best in the late 70's early 80's) are considered "cult classics" and the results from them are more than acceptable.

Those are the ones I was referring to.
