Some of the most beautiful flower images I have ever seen. Congratulations! I am envious.

Very nice shots. The "Peonies" look a bit more like Mums, but what do I know? They're very nice anyway.

Thanks and I bet you're right. I took a guess. One of my failings is forgetting the names of the plants I photograph. Thanks again.

Some shots from one of my favorite places: the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle. I go there often.

Beautiful images, all of them. I especially like the "Bird of Paradise' and the cacti images. We used to have BoP in our front garden until the peak of our SoCal drought. We've been hiking the deserts recently and see a lot of different beautiful cacti. I like the colors in this image, but when the flowers blossom, they become especially beautiful. Beauties, but you pay a hefty price for touching.

Thanks for sharing
Mike

Nice work saxman. I'm going to assume that you used a tripod. No problem at the Conservatory?

Some yes and some no Don. The hibiscus was certainly on a tripod (and is at least a 6 image stack) but the bird of paradise and at least a couple of the others were single shot, hand held images. They will allow you to use a tripod on weekdays but it's tight and impolite if there's much of a crowd.

Impeccable clarity -- favorites are the cactus flower and hibiscus! What lens did you use?

I can't wait to have the time to fiddle with image stacking -- first I need a decent tripod!!

Thank you. In all cases I used a Sigma 180MM, f/2.8 macro lens.
