Very good series.

Thank you. There are two more sets in this "series" which I will post, consisting of 6 photos each, I think.

Great pictures!
Up until I was 10, I spent my summers in Cuba with my grand parents. From what I can remember it was a wonderful place, and the beaches were breathtaking!
The day Castro arrived in Havana, my mother, aunt, cousin, and I barely made it back to the U.S.

A week later Castro executed my uncle, and inprisoned my father for 30 years. I never saw my grandparents or father again. But I still have fond memories of the good times I spent there.

Thank you for your comments. The beaches are quite something--though the US regulations seem to suggest that US citizens can not relax on them!

Fascinating Country. I must go there some time myself and take some shots.

It is worth the trip--but the current regulations make it more expensive as you must engage an "approved" guide, go in a group, etc. It is not ideal for photography. The cruise stop over was one way to return for a small visit without too much of a premium. There is a list of hotels and other businesses which are not for use by US citizens. The regulations have changed in the past, and may well change again to make travel more economical and free ranging. All the best.

I lived there for two years (1999-01); it always felt like I was living inside a black and white movie. Incredibly beautiful and photogenic though, and full of wonderful friendly people; just a really oppressive and cruel government.

Havana, at least in parts, is getting a bit of an upgrade for tourism. I would like to go to other parts of Cuba. When I was there before in 2015 I did go outside the city and it was a bit more rustic even than Havana--but it really was from a time gone by. I enjoyed meeting people. Remains to be seen how the government changes, if at all.
