Many years ago after an exhaustive day touring Butchart Gardens we spent a relaxing evening at the Inn and toured the Cottage. It was located just outside of the downtown area and just a short hop to the ferry. They were apparently scheduled to be torn down to make way for some new construction a few years back. While poking around on the internet the other day I came across some info that the Inn was undergoing extensive renovations and is scheduled to reopen some time in 2020. No info on the cottage. The Inn was a replica of a Tudor mansion and the cottage a replica of the one in Stratford Upon Avon. Anyone have any recent info, it was a great place to stay???

Wife & I spent one night of our Honeymoon there 50 years ago March 1st. We've been back once in the interim. We weren't aware of the latest developments, and are glad to know that it is being refurbished.
