Thank you all for your kind words. The Native Americans are really the ones who deserve the credit.

Each year the Shoshone-Bannock tribe hosts a pow-wow/festival at the Fort Hall Reservation. Tribes from the US and Canada attend and participate in a variety of contests and activities. The tribe graciously allows non indians to view much of the festival. It is a wonderful photographic opportunity. If any of you hoggers are planning a vacation that will take you to Idaho (between Pocatello and Blackfoot) sometime from Aug. 8th - 11th., I would highly recommend attendance. The grand entry and the dancing competition are especially photogenic. Check out their website as the time gets closer for exact times. I have posted a few of the many hundreds of photos that I have taken over the years.

Excellent series. You have done extremely well in capturing the essence of the Indians. Have attended many a pow wow as a youth and loved to dance. Mahalo for sharing.

Wonderful images and these Pow Wows are all over America and worth the time to visit. Many great sites to see when they dance for us and display their colorful apparel.
