Fuji introduced their GFX 50S at the same exact price as the Nikon D5 - exactly $6500 Body Only.
When they added the rangefinder-style version - the GFX 50R, with the same exact sensor, at four grand - Pentax - who has long-regarded themselves as having the lowest-priced Medium Format Digital Camera - I suspect - found the need to reduce their entry, accordingly - in order to be more competitive.
