I'd say it is a bridge camera.
Not looking at the specs, but it has a hot shoe.

Why are you so caught up in semantics? I don't think there is any firm definition of what a Bridge Camera is.

If it means anything to you, I have always thought of cameras such as the Canon G as "Advanced P&S", in that you have more control over settings, while "bridge cameras" tend to have longer zoom lenses.

The way I understand it, a bridge camera has a non-removable lens and a long zoom range - and it's adjustable.

It bridges between a point and shoot and an interchangeable lens camera by providing a significant zoom range to cover the range generally available to ICLs without having to change lenses.

I was trying to get an answer I did not have for my friend. Meanwhile, you have your own definitions, but given your introduction, no, they don't mean much to me.

I Googled "bridge camera definition" and this is what came up. It is in line with what I know to be the definition of a bridge camera. [url]https://digital-photography-school.com/bridge-camera-what-is-it-and-is-it-for-me/[url]
