It is an excellent shot. Her face in between the two tree branches compliment the composition.

I walked away from the bear jam and waited at a spot where I could possibly get a shot if the babies would climb a tree to join mom. By the time the jam moved to our position the bears were down and gone.

Beautiful picture.
I hope this was with a long telephoto. The old saying "Protective as a Mama bear!" didn't just get made up for nothing.
I see you mentioned "bear jam" so I will go with that being a large group of photographers and lookiloos trying to see the mother bear and cubs, and mainly freaking them out and driving them off. They are lucky Mama didn't decide to chase off (or worse) the harrassers.
