Wonderful image Keni. I enjoyed your choice of texture and colors. Bev

Thanks Bev and I appreciate all your help and advise. I applied some of that in my processing with this one.

Very nice Keni. I love the painterly effect.

Thank you sir! I actually didn’t apply a paint filter on this one. It’s the effect of the stained paper layer I blended on top of the image. I’m glad you like it.

Very interesting sky.

I appreciate you stopping to look and comment. It was actually an overcast day with a really flat boring sunset and I thought the memory of the old homestead deserved better. I replaced the sky with a more colorful sunset.

One more sunset on an old homestead that has seen better days. This was shot near Hico Texas. It would have been built some time in the mid 1800's when this area was first settled.

Excellent!

You created something beautiful out of a dull subject, kenie. Artfully done!

Thank you so much! As I was processing it I was thinking about my favorite John Wayne movie, The Searchers and the beautiful cinematography. I wanted it to have that kind of feel. I appreciate you commenting.
