It is a great lens. Same excellent image quality as the DX version. But substantially larger and heavier, and has a VR switch. Of course it will work with DX cameras as well but the DX version is lighter, less expensive, and has more plastic.
I bought mine to use with my Z6, which requires the FTZ adapter.
Not sure what the OP means by E lens. It is F mount.
