Focus stacking is when you focus on the foreground and take a picture, then focus on the middle and take a separate picture, then focus on the background and take a 3rd picture and then stack the 3 images together to make 1 image, with each piece in perfect focus.
tomcat, I never mess with that stuff! I rely totally on software! I have a canon power shot from 10 years ago and use the same settings the salesman set at purchase and never changed them! Aperture, fstop DOF etc are meaningless to me!
