Ice Walrus on Flickr There are usually interesting ice formations on the Lake Michigan shore this time of year; ice volcanoes, ice cliffs, caves and hills. Sand and stones get frozen into the mix and that makes for interesting colors and patterns. This reminded me of a walrus resting on the beach.

Pardon the pun--Cool. I spent the winter of 73-74 in Chicago and remember being amazed at how the ice piled up on the lake shore.
