Sony A mount body vs Sony E mount body.
Just returned from my local camera store where l was comparing the Sony A99M2 a Sony a9. The body on the a9 was smaller and one thing that l have noticed on all E mount cameras from only Sony is that the display on top of the camera is gone, but you look at Nikon and Canon E mount mirrorless lens cameras and they still have it. I would like to know why Sony removed this display screen? It is a useful and helpful tool when you are doing multi shooting. I would love to have purchased the Sony a9 but until they put the screen on top of camera again l will stay with the a99M2.

You don't need a top display screen with a mirrorless camera. You can see all of the settings in the EVF without having to take your eye away to chimp at a top or rear screen.

Oddly, perhaps, the RX10m3 or m4 has a top display as well as the EVF and normal rear screen.
Regardless where the display is at top or rear, Sony should have left the display on the top like the other camera manufacturers done. If Canon and Nikon removed this display the people would be complaining and they would force them into putting it back on the new cameras. The almighty dollar talks to the manufacturer.
