Hello InfinateISO, thank you for your perspective. I intentionally raised the exposure in #6 & 10 in processing so that the red signs and her hair would stand out. Does this change your opinion, or are there other images you feel are over exposed?

Those are the two images that are really overexposed but all of them are a bit hotter than I would have published them.

You should practice some type of selective editing, the equivalent of burning and dodging during printing. You may of had some detail you wanted to accentuate, but the rest of the photo suffered. I tried to manipulate one of your jpegs, but the ones that are over exposed really can't be brought back. Your original files can probably be changed.

A good editor will allow you to change the saturation of one color. In this particular case, considering the limited palette, that would have been a good way to accentuate the red without washing the rest of the image out.

Also, I know a lot of glamour images are shot on white paper or vinyl, but I really a prefer a light gray when shooting fair skinned models.

I know that everyone has their own idea as to what is sensual, and rightfully so. To me, the nude posted by vertigo on 2/14/19 (Sometimes all you have) is truly sensual. The model is shoeless.

Thank you for your perspective on another way to pp this image. I will go back and try it then repost them.

Frankly, I don’t like any of them.

Would you be so kind as to offer some reasons why you do not like the photos?

Simply not to my taste. I prefer the photographic efforts of others on this forum who offer attractive images.

Would you mind if a couple of us played with a couple of your images?

Not at all. I can learn from your effort.

I'm assuming that a good portion of the issues everyone has pointed out stem from what you did in post. What would be fun would be for you to upload your favorite image from the session straight off the camera in full resolution. In working with a .JPG this size that is tweaked to this extent you have to use photoshop and start selecting stuff and altering it. I'm thinking there may be some very nice interpretations that can be made with just light room or a similar editor if we're starting from scratch.

That said, here is an attempt using one of the images you've posted. The background was selected and mixed with a very light gray. The reds were pulled back a bit while orange was boosted a bit. The entire image was softened a tad. I would have put her on a much darker background but it was hard to get a good selection with so little image resolution. The little bit I've pulled the background back isn't betrayed by the few stray pixels I didn't select (unless you pixel peep).

If I could pick one that I'd like to work on, it would be the 4th.

Thanks for your insightful help to an OP who stated this was his first nude and was asking for any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. We all learned from your experience.

You are off to a good start with your first nudes. ISO and others mentioned the blow out vs high key in a some. My simple rule to myself is if there is NO detail whatsoever in an area it is blown. (Example = #8)

I know there must be a reason, but why the shoes?

Because they're sexy. There are sexier shoes out there, but these are very sexy on her because she's comfortable in them. I think the black patent adds interest to the red and blanched tones of these pics. Love them on her and the color contrast they give to the images.

The very last shot on page two (above) is excellent. Her skin is flawless (again, GREAT wax/ shave job), her expression is naturally comfortable, and I bet she can't wait to get out of that red teddy. She looks comfortable, seductive and ready to play.
Your moniker says that "you're not a photographer but you enjoy pretending"... I think you're quite the photographer and capture wonderful images of moments when your models are relaxed and having fun.
Good job. I enjoy your work, and please let's see more of this gal and others. Thank you!

Thank you Stardust for your comment. I try not to let remarks like his upset me. He showed no class with his remarks.

Thank you Lukan for your insightful remarks. I hope my St. Patrick's day photos will be an improvement.
